INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY | Know a student interested in in a meaningful -- and paid --internship that may lead to direct injections of economic resources into Gullah Geechee communities for land and cultural preservation? We're thrilled to support a new initiative by the Gaylord & Dorothy Donnelley Foundation to hire an intern to assist them in exploration into potential avenues for funding and partnerships in its three program areas as it relates to support of Gullah Geechee communities. These funding areas include land conservation, artistic vitality, and collections projects in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. This is approximately a 20-hour per week, 12 to 14-week internship, January – May 2020 (exact start and end dates to be determined). Compensation is $15 to $20/ hour commensurate with experience, plus travel reimbursement. The internship will be based in their downtown Charleston office but will require research in the field at least half of the time.
